Message from April:
I approach my role as a marketing consultant as if I were a doctor. I do not take for granted the trust that my employers and clients have placed in me. Before I start on a client (my patient), I meticulously prepare my instruments: background information, historical data, and extensive market research to arm me for a potentially complicated surgery (perhaps a rebrand or new marketing plan). I am prepared for any questions from the other surgeons and nurses in the room (the internal team) and dealing with pushback from insurance (a.k.a. the way things have been done). Each of my steps are calculated, analytical, and methodical but balanced by my creative side. I have kept up with my annual CMEs: Continued "Marketing" Education, challenging myself to take new courses and certifications post-MBA to continually provide fresh and current knowledge to you. The goal has always been the same throughout these efforts— to diagnose the underlying issues causing my client's marketing to not be as effective as it can possibly be and create a strategic treatment plan to optimize them moving forward.
